How are you actually earning online in Pakistan?

I don’t want theory in this thread. There are already too many posts online telling people “learn this skill” or “do freelancing”. Most of them are surface-level.

This thread is different.

If you are earning online even a small amount write honestly:

  • What exactly do you do? Not the category, but the actual work.
  • How did you get your first paying client or first income?
  • What part was harder than you expected?
  • What do people misunderstand about your field?
  • If someone starts today, what mistake should they avoid in the first 30 days?
If you are not earning yet, you can still reply:

  • What have you tried so far?
  • Where exactly are you stuck?
  • What is confusing you right now?
Try to be specific. Even one honest reply here can help someone more than 50 generic “motivational” posts.

Also, if you read someone’s answer, ask them one follow-up question. That is how real discussions start.

I’ll start honestly.

Most of my income is coming from small web development tasks and services. Not big projects. Things like setting up WordPress, fixing issues, installing scripts, and helping clients with technical problems.

The first few clients didn’t come from platforms. They came from people I already knew or through small online interactions like social media platforms; my first client I got from there.

The hardest part in the beginning was not skill; it was consistency. You learn something, then stop, then restart. That cycle wastes a lot of time.

One thing people misunderstand: they think income comes after learning everything. In reality, you start earning while you are still learning.

If someone is starting today, I would say: don’t spend 6 months only learning. Try to get your first small paid task within 30 days, even if it’s very basic.

To all those who are making money on Fiverr or Upwork:

What was the moment when things started working for you?

Was it your first order, a profile change or something else?
